Hey team! Hope everyone is doing well! Rachel and I are doing pretty well. February flew by for us.
We are dog-sitting for my mother. She is on a trip to Israel with some friends from her women’s group at church.
So a huge praise with that, the other night, Rachel and I felt the need to pray for my mother and their trip. Well not too long later, we got a text from her saying that they had lost an engine, had to turn back, and do an emergency landing at JFK Airport. Everyone ended up being safe. The Holy Spirit certainly has great timing. I’m glad we listened and prayed.
Ministry wise, things are going pretty well. Josh and Jennifer are back from sabbatical. Christian Challenge is going very well. We are still seeing new people find out about us and show up on Tuesday nights!
FCA has been up and down. We have a really solid group of guys coming right now which is really encouraging. Unfortunately, it’s been a struggle making progress in other areas.
I want to leave you guys with some good news, though, to finish it things up. In the last update, we announced the upcoming summer mission trips.
Now, most students can’t afford to just go on the trip. They have to support raise like Rachel and I do.
One of our students is so dedicated to making sure she has the funds to go on the trip, she loads her car up with her friends, and they drive an hour to give plasma as a way to raise money. She is also using her photography and selling that to raise funding for the trip. It’s awesome to see that dedication so that she can take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Another one of our students going, is from a small town in western Kansas. She organized a silent auction using many of her art pieces she’s created. I figured, it’s a small town. She’ll probably raise a couple hundred bucks from the night. Nope, she raised all she needed and more in just one night. Truly unbelievable! God is good!
It’s encouraging seeing God work like that. It’s also awesome seeing students serious about their faith and sharing that faith with others!
-Be praying for all of our support team. Supporters like you are a huge part of the ministry. I feel like it’s a prayer need that is often overlooked, unfortunately.
-Be praying that God would bring us student-leaders that would be willing to build the ministry with us.
-That God would continue growing us closer to Him and help us not neglect our first ministry; our marriage.
-For open hearts, for many to join us prayerfully and financially, to bring the Gospel to Fort Lewis. If the Lord is leading you to give, please go to: http://thewallscall.blogspot.com/p/other-giving-options.html
Thank you for joining with us to reach Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO! -Cheers and God Bless, Mike & Rachel
